Meet Our Team
Emma (Owner)
Pet Pals Pet Care was founded in 2021 by Emma, after a former career as a law enforcement officer left her wanting a change. Following three years of part time dog walking and pet sitting for family and friends, her passion for caring for animals led her to turn it into a career. She has built up a loyal customer base all over Calgary and can’t wait to meet her future new clients.
Emma also volunteers at a local animal rescue in her free time and enjoys play and cuddles with her kitty, Alfie.
She also loves exploring our City parks and is a keen amateur bird & wildlife photographer.
Lacey
Lacey’s expertise in animal care is second to none. As a wildlife biologist she often deals with animals of an unpredictable nature as her day job. But with her free time she loves nothing better than relaxing with pets of a friendlier kind. She currently has both a dog and cat at home and loves meeting new pets in the households she visits.
She is also a very talented wildlife photographer, so expect your pet updates to showcase their best side.
Jenna
Jenna is a lifelong pet owner. She has had several large breed dogs and numerous kitties. She currently has her hands full keeping her very active and intelligent 1yr old cat Waffles entertained and out of mischief!
Jenna loves to craft in her spare time and is a very talented baker. Her cinnamon buns are legendary amongst some of the Pet Pals team!
Heather N
Heather grew up on a farm with many animals which likely attributes to her love of them. As a kid, she would be embarrassed that her mom needed to say hello to every dog they passed - and now Heather is (happily) realizing she is becoming the same.
She loves to be outside and enjoys it even more with a furriend. Find her hiking outside with her cat, Aioli!
Keely
Keely is a former full-time cat sitter who is now focusing on her illustration career.
She is Mom to a kitty, a pup and 2 tiny humans but still has plenty of love to go around to give to your pets too. We are pleased to have her wealth of experience on our team.
Sam
Sam is an incredible person with the biggest heart when it comes to caring for animals in need. She has fostered over 300 cats & dogs since 2012 and volunteers with a number of local rescues.
She also has her own plant and pet care business which offers boarding options at her home at Paws n Petals.
Somehow she still finds time to care for her own pets, 2 dogs and 2 senior kitties and enjoys playing a number of different sports.
Kelsey
Kelsey is our first Pet Pals client turned sitter! After being very impressed with the love and care she shows towards Kevin, her charismatic XL breed dog, I just knew she would be a great fit for the team. As well as being a lifelong dog owner, she also has also owned cats and has experience with smaller caged pets. Kelsey is a full time student with lots of free time in the busy holiday seasons to spend with your pets.
Erin
Erin has been involved in animal rescue since 2018. Her roles have included volunteering at a local shelter, fostering cats & kittens and since 2022 she has held the position of Cat Foster Coordinator at a local rescue.
Although growing up with dogs her whole life and loves both, cats have a very special place in her heart. She currently has 2 cats of her own and always has room for foster kitties too.
Outside of pet sitting, Erin works with seniors as a Registered Nurse in the community.
Rhiann
From a young age, Rhiann’s love for animals has known no bounds.
From frogs, geckos, and hamsters to larger furry friends. With a deep passion for all creatures, she is excited to have joined the Pet Pals team and adds “Every moment spent caring for and bonding with animals is cherished, ensuring their well-being and happiness is paramount.”
Alicia
Alicia is welcomed to Pet Pals as an experienced pet owner. She has previously fostered a number of puppies with a local animal rescue and has an adorable dog and kitty of her own.
Currently working towards a PHD, she will happily snuggle up with your pets as she spends her time studying.
She is also a very keen gardener, so any plants you have will likely get just as much love as your pets while in her care.
Alfa
Alfa has dedicated herself to the well-being of animals from a young age, actively volunteering in animal shelters and reptile rescue organizations. With a special affinity for small animals, reptiles, cats, and dogs, Alfa's passion for animal care shines through in every interaction. Coming from a household with three beloved cats, she understands the importance of nurturing and companionship. In the future, Alfa plans to deepen her expertise by studying canine massage, further enriching her ability to care for our furry friends.
Roland
Roland is our retiree team member and has the flexibility and time to cover a variety of sits and stays. He has been a dog and horse owner for 50 years and cherishes the memories of his various canine and equine companions over the years.
The mountains and foothills beckon him in his spare time. He has also been known to play a starring role in a weekly trivia team alongside fellow Pet Pals team members Alicia & Emma.
With his wealth of experience, he looks forward to making new memories with your pets.
